What links Jean McGarry’s new memoir, reflecting on a life originally grounded in Catholicism, and Franklin W. Knight’s new book The History and Connoisseurship of Rum? As it turns out, it’s the ability to slow down and to savor–to consider the impact of the flavors that shape lives, cultures, and geographies– so we’re going to do just that on the Ivy patio on Friday, May 22nd.

We’ll have a rum tasting with rums from around the world. Or, if you’re more inclined towards other beverages, a bar with wine, beer, and n/a options available.
