Baltimore KittyCon
BARCS Animal Shelter in Baltimore is launching our third annual Baltimore KittyCon August 30 at the Baltimore Museum of Industry in Locust Point. What started as a city event sold out last year at 400 attendees and we have moved this year’s KittyCon to a much larger venue, allowing us to fully actualize it as a Conference. The outside pavilion and waterfront promenade will feature a vendor market, live music, MEOW’e’KE, Cat walk, food truck rally and bar. Inside the museum, BARCS along with our partner rescues will take over the event floor with kitten and cat adoptions. The BMI spaces allow us to offer a screening room, lecture hall and 3 classrooms for workshops such as Cat Tree refinishing, custom clay works of your cats, pet portraits and more.
The Baltimore Tattoo Museum is joining us for Cattoos, we have pop art vendors coming from New York and Richmond joining Maryland’s already eclectic cat centris artisans. Author Jeff Bogel will be in attendance along with Lil Miss Pet Psychic Cynthia Okimoto. We are currently in discussions with a popular virtual brand about their first-ever Pop Up Shop on the East Coast.
It’s not just Sunday the 30, we have confirmed with Maryland Double Deckers for a CATurday bus tour through the city celebrating Baltimore’s window cats, cat murals, crazy cat culture blocks. We haven’t forgotten about CATurday Nite…but we are keeping the cat in the bag…until we have the final answer from one of Baltimore’s coolest venues for a live show and dance party.
