Beginning Figure Sculpture

This is an introductory class in figure sculpture for beginning and intermediate students. We will be practicing modeling the whole figure in clay from a live model then adding features – eyes, mouth, ears, hair.

The course fee includes clay, use of a model stand, model fees, and access to tools.

Deane Nettles has been working as a sculptor for twenty years and currently teaches a weekly figure sculpture class at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria. Deane is a co-owner of the Baltimore Sculpture Studio in Baltimore, MD.
