B&O Celebrates Maryland Weekend

In celebration of Maryland Day, the B&O Railroad Museum is offering a weekend full of all things Maryland.

  • “Our Maryland on the Rails: The B&O’s Contribution to Maryland State History”: This tour will examine how Maryland before 1827 became an ideal location for the B&O Railroad and as a result how the B&O Railroad has continued to contribute to the robust history of the state of Maryland. Friday, 3/25, 1 PM; Saturday & Sunday, 3/26-3/27, 2 p.m.
  • Freedom Quilt Stamping Activity: Symbols of the Underground Railroad: In recognition of the close ties between Maryland and the Underground Railroad and in celebration of our recent designation and Harriet Tubman’s 200th birthday. Saturday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • B&O Scavenger Hunt on Maryland History to help children explore the museum available all weekend
