Charm City Players Youth Company is thrilled to kick off its second season with Chicago: Teen Edition at Gilman School’s Alumni Auditorium in Roland Park.
Step into the roaring 1920s as talented local youth performers bring the jazz, intrigue and iconic music of Broadway to life. The story follows Roxie Hart and vaudeville star Velma Kelly as they compete for fame and headlines in a city where celebrity rules all. With the help of lawyer Billy Flynn, this satirical musical explores ambition and media influence through show-stopping numbers like “All That Jazz,” “Cell Block Tango,” and “Razzle Dazzle.”
This adapted Teen Edition retains all the glitz, energy and charm of the original Broadway classic while remaining suitable for young performers and family audiences. Join us for a lively afternoon or evening of musical theatre!
