Dan + Claudia Zanes in support of the Black Church Food Security Network

On Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 1-2 p.m. EST Grammy winning guitarist and vocalist Dan Zanes and Haitian-American music therapist/jazz vocalist Claudia Zanes will perform in support of the Baltimore-based Black Church Food Security Network.

DAN and CLAUDIA ZANES are a musical duo based in Baltimore that creates modern-day, all-ages, sensory friendly music blending folk, rock and jazz. Dan Zanes was a founding member of the 1980s garage-rock band The Del Fuegos and in 2007 won a Grammy Award for Best Musical Album for Children for Catch That Train!. Claudia Zanes is a performer and music therapist who has performed across the US and in England, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Israel and Kenya. During the pandemic, Dan and Claudia performed a song a day for over 200 days as part of the Social Isolation Song Series.

The BLACK CHURCH FOOD SECURITY NETWORK is an association of congregations, fairs, food advocates, and community activists working together to create an alternative food system in the Baltimore metropolitan area. They prioritize bringing support to communities struggling with food insecurity and see food justice and sovereignty as indispensable components of the empowerment of Black communities. They also work to establish pipelines for fresh produce between Baltimore area congregations and Black farmers.

This performance will be streamed live via Youtube from Baltimore’s Creative Alliance.

A Youtube view link will be emailed to registrants the day before the performance.
