Film Screening: High Tide in Dorchester
Coastal landscapes across the world are facing growing concerns about the future, including Dorchester County. This low-lying county on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay is the fourth largest of Maryland’s 23 counties by land area, but it is destined to drop to the 14th largest by 2100or sooneras waters rise and erosion worsens. High Tide in Dorchester, a documentary by Tom Horton, Sandy Cannon-Brown, and Dave Harp, chronicles the effects of climate change and rising sea levels on Dorchester County. A Q&A will take place following the film screening in France Hall.
This onsite program is free and open to all audiences. Registration is encouraged. We are closely considering the reality of hosting this event in-person and will pivot to a virtual format depending on COVID case numbers and city regulations.
