Grief and Gratitude

Come join us for an evening of reflection and community at The Baltimore Free School at Red Emma’s. Grief & Gratitude is a communal support space for Black Marginalized Genders (MaGes): trans and cis women, non-binary people and trans men/masc folks to explore the duality of grief and gratitude in our lives, especially within the realities of an anti-Black world.

This event invites attendees to explore collective grief – grief that often arises from a shared traumatic experience connected to social, cultural, or global challenges. Together, we will honor the grief stemming from ongoing systemic violence, personal and collective losses, and daily challenges, while exploring gratitude for our resilience, endurance and commitment to justice.

*Please note that this space is not intended for individuals seeking to process personal or immediate loss, but rather for those looking to engage in a broader discussion on societal, communal, or historical experiences of grief. If you are navigating a recent personal loss, we encourage you to seek support in a setting tailored for personal grief processing.
