Kennedy Krieger Institute ROAR for Kids
Kennedy Krieger Institute’s ROAR for Kids 5K road run and low-mileage fun walk comes ROARing back to Oregon Ridge Park in Cockeysville, Md., on Saturday, April 30. Individuals of all ages are encouraged to get outside and get going for this great cause.
Since 2005, this annual fundraiser has raised over $3 million to support the research and programs that help kids at Kennedy Krieger Institute, and this year the event will be in-person for the first time since the start of the pandemic. ROAR promises to provide the perfect opportunity for community groups or teams to come together and participate in a project with a great impact. For that reason, student groups receive a $10 discount for all participants.
The event includes a 5K run, low-mileage fun walk and family festival. Capping off the morning in the great outdoors is the much-loved Mascot Challenge, where local favorites compete for bragging rights in a fierce obstacle course.
Those supporters who are unable to join in person may ROAR virtually from anywhere on event day.
Participants and teams may register online and build personal fundraising pages. Proceeds can be directed to a Kennedy Krieger program of their choice or the Institute.
