Kids Grief Event with Stacy Vargo at The Shops at Kenilworth
The Ivy Bookshop at The Shops at Kenilworth welcomes you to a children’s event with grief coach Stacy Vargo, who will read her new book Galaxy of Memories, and lead kids in a Galaxy of Memories Star Card activity to help them remember their loved ones.
The event will take place at The Shops at Kenilworth on the ground floor across from Italian Gardens.
Books will be available for sale at the event.
Stacy Vargo is the founder of Forget Knot and a grief coach who supports children, families, and caregivers navigating loss with compassion, presence, and care. Her work was born from personal loss, deep love, and the quiet strength that comes from learning how to carry both.
Stacy began this journey after losing her father to Young Onset Dementia and Posterior Cortical Atrophy. Witnessing his decline introduced her to the long, layered experience of anticipatory grief, followed by waves of loss after his passing. Through this, she came to understand that grief does not follow one path—it weaves itself around us in complex and often invisible ways.
Before creating Forget Knot, Stacy spent years working in early childhood education and mental health, supporting children and their caregivers by creating safe, encouraging spaces for emotional expression and connection. That work, paired with her lived experience, deepened her belief that healing must be nurtured across all ages.
Inspired by nature’s rhythms—roots, wildflowers, water and growth—Forget Knot was created as a space where compassion, connection, and resilience guide the journey forward, gently and together.
