Maryland Science Center's 50th Anniversary Celebration

The Maryland Science Center is more than a place to learn about science. For 50 years the Science Center has been a powerful source of inspiration and ideas, awareness and affirmation, to millions of people—and we know the best is yet to come! So, let’s celebrate. Let’s science!

Here is what to expect: 

• We’re rolling back our admission rate to 1976 prices—$1.00 for children, $2.50 for adults and $1.50 for seniors
• Hands-on science around every corner—plus special anniversary activities in the Kids Room, Make, and SciLab
• Live science demos, like our super cool liquid nitrogen and hair-raising static electricity shows, performed on our brand new stage
• Explore our news exhibits—Space presented by Northrop Grumman, Make presented by The Kahlert Foundation, and Design Build Test
• Groundbreaking ceremony for our campus greening project to kick off the next 50 years
