Memento Mori

Home Events Memento Mori

‘Memento Mori’ is the latest work from Vaught Contemporary Ballet. This Latin phrase meaning, remember you must die, serves as a reminder that we have a finite amount of time and will meet the same end rather we take risks or remain stagnant.

Drawing on ‘The Corfu Trilogy’ for inspiration, the company takes you from a place of redundancy through landscapes of courage. Vaught depicts the release of fear created by jumping into the unknown.

“Run from what’s comfortable. Forget safety. Live where you fear to live…” -Rumi
