MUSIC: El Khat (Berlin) with DLI (Baltimore)

Welcome El Khat (Berlin) to Le Mondo for their Baltimore debut! Led by a trio of diasporic musicians, El Khat brings you a retro-futuristic sound inspired by traditional Yemeni songs, contemporary grooves, and a collection of DIY instruments. The group is joined by local openers, DLI.

ABOUT EL KHAT
El Khat is a homemade junkyard band led by multi-instrumentalist Eyal El Wahab. Named for the drug used so widely chewed across the Arab Peninsula, The band brings original compositions inspired by the music of the golden age in Aden, Yemen.
