NAMI: In Our Own Voice
May is Mental Health Awareness Month! Join Enoch Pratt Free Library and NAMI Metro Baltimore for an engaging presentation featuring two Baltimore community members sharing their personal journeys with mental health conditions! NAMI In Our Own Voice presentations are designed to change attitudes, stereotypes, and assumptions about mental illness. This presentation will include:
A first-hand account of what it’s like to live with a mental illness. Presenters humanize this misunderstood topic by demonstrating that it’s possible – and common – to live well with mental illness.
A chance to ask the presenters questions, which allows for a deeper understanding of mental health conditions.
The understanding that every person with a mental illness can hope for a bright future.
Whether you have personal experience with a mental health condition, have cared for a loved one during their journey, or just want to learn more about mental health, this free presentation is open to you!
