"One Man Poe" Candlelight Performance

To commemorate the 175th Anniversary of Poe’s death, and using his original publications from the 1840s, one actor faithfully brings his words to life, performing three of the most terrifying examples of gothic literature:

The Tell-Tale Heart / The Pit and the Pendulum / The Raven – followed by a talk-back session. 

This special performance of One Man Poe will be performed by candlelight at Baltimore’s Carroll Mansion by award-winning UK actor, Stephen Smith (2022 Saturday Visiter Award Winner)

The historic Carroll Mansion will be open to visitors for a candle-lit, theatrical evening. Event includes The Poe Death Exhibit and Raven Room.

This event takes place at Carroll Mansion, 800 E. Lombard Street in Baltimore. This precious historic sites has no elevators and the stairs are steep. May not be suitable for all guests.

$10 suggested donation at the door, with $5 redeemable for non-cash credit in the Carroll Mansion Gift Shop. Proceeds benefit The Edgar Allan Poe House & Museum and Carroll Museums.
