Opening Reception: Megan Hillaker's Showcase Exhibit "Mundane/Monument"

Join us for the Opening Reception of Megan Hillaker’s outstanding Showcase Exhibit, “Mundane/Monument” on November’s First Friday/Art Around Hampden! Both classical and fresh, Megan’s oil paintings embody a sense of quietude and underlying energy at the same time:

“This collection of pieces was painted primarily from plein air sketches or photos taken at these locations. I was intrigued by documenting both holy spaces falling into ruin and seemingly mundane encounters that nonetheless shared a similar sense of sacredness.” – Megan Hillaker
