Picnic in the Park
Your support of Picnic in the Park will help Parks & People advance its mission to unite Baltimore through parks by transforming blighted spaces into livable, playable outdoor spaces; increasing access to parks and green spaces; and engaging youth in the outdoors and environmental education. We believe that green space fosters community connections and helps make the lives of Baltimore City residents happier, healthier, and safer. In 2022, we celebrated the opening of 9 new green spaces across 10+ acres for 20,568 residents within a quarter mile walk of one of these projects. In 2023, we plan to develop 12 new park projects across 14+acres of green space for 32,969 local residents. These planned park projects come in addition to the hundreds of students we will serve through SuperKids Camp 2023 and the Branches Workforce Development Program.
