Reeling in the Years: 30 Years in Baltimore, in Color, by Douglas Johnson

Come to the opening reception for artist Doug Johnson’s exhibit “Reeling in the Years”, chronicling 30 years living and working in Baltimore in watercolors. The show will be up through July, 2024 on display during The Club Car Baltimore’s business hours! Swing by Club Car to hang out, have a drink and enjoy Doug’s vibrant, sensual and exciting paintings! All pieces are available for purchase.
Doug has selected pieces from a wide range of styles, intentions, and storytelling over 3 decades of painting. From the gentle and sublime to the lurid and confrontational, many of these paintings have never been shown publicly before.
Watercolors, normally displayed behind glass, are instead shown bare, so the powerful light and colors are raw and uninterrupted by a reflective barrier. A personal love-letter to Baltimore, there will never be an exhibit like this one again.
