Ruth Channing: Feminine Surreal (Opening Receptions)

Join us at Bismark-Wilson Gallery for Ruth Channing: Feminine Surreal. Channing’s approach to printmaking is derived from the spontaneous “automatic drawing” theory of the Surrealists, combined with the tradition of French erotic art. Her work often has a literary source, although it is not intended as illustration. Rather, the viewer is invited to interpret the work in their own way.

The show runs April 23 – May 7, 2022. There will be two receptions where attendees can meet the artist and enjoy refreshments: Saturday, April 23 & Sunday, April 24, 1 – 4 p.m. There will also be a closing reception on Saturday, May 7, 1 – 4 p.m.
