Scryptid Games: Readings Inspired By PSYCHIC TRASH DETECTIVES

Join the Ivy Bookshop at Bird in Hand for an evening inspired by Psychic Trash Detectives, a dice-less story game played with actual garbage. In the game, players take on the roles of animals who must come together as psychic sleuths to solve a mystery affecting their trash-loving community–and they have to do it before all the trash is collected at dawn! At its heart, Psychic Trash Detectives is a game about chosen family and the power that comes from acceptance of your weird self and the other weirdos around you.

After the reading, guests can purchase a copy of Psychic Trash Detectives, color their own characters on pages by brilliant Baltimore illustrator A.V. Eerie, and create original erasure poems using recycled materials.

This event will take place Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 6 p.m. It is located at Bird in Hand Coffee & Books, and is free and open to the public.
