Snow Days

No matter what the weather will bring, we’ll show you a snowy-good time!

When school is out—science is in! Celebrate the wonders of winter this December with a flurry of science exploration. We’ll have all kinds of arctic activities going on every day from Saturday, December 23 though Monday, January 1.  All activities are free with paid admission and completely free to members unless otherwise noted.

Snow Days Highlights:

FROSTY FUN AROUND EVERY CORNER:

Look out for snow fort building, snowman engineering, toboggan racing, icy excavations, winter-themed science shows and demonstrations, and more going on all week long! Snow Days activities will mostly take place between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, daily.

THE SHED:

Bring your imagination and flex those creative muscles to help us design a snow-covered Baltimore, in miniature!  Grow this collaborative town with your unique additions. What will you add to this cozy little cardboard community? This activity will take place daily, from 10:00 am – close.

KIDS ROOM:

It’s Decemb-Brrrrr and we are exploring our favorite science of the season. Explore chemistry and craft crystalized snowflakes, track down some frosty footprints, and play with super-absorbent polymer snow! Snow Days activities in the Kids Room will take place every day at 1 p.m.
