Super Science Sleepover: Dinosaur Adventure
Grab your field book and dive into a dinosaur mystery!
Calling all junior paleontologists! Spend an unforgettable night at the Maryland Science Center digging into dinos. Examine clues from our planet’s prehistoric past and see if you can piece together enough evidence to identify a mystery dinosaur. Challenge yourself to a raptor approved tippy tower building game. Roam the exhibit halls with your herd, and more!
This event is intended for families with children ages 5+. All children must have a paid adult in their party.
What to expect:
- Check-in: Please arrive between 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7. Please see FAQs for parking information.
- Exhibit Exploration: Enjoy open exploration of our hands-on exhibit halls from 5:30-9:45 p.m.
- Themed Activity Stations: Drop by dinosaur-themed activity stations and see if you’ve got what it takes to be a paleontologist from 6-9:30 p.m.
- Planetarium Show: Pop into the planetarium to take in views of the star-studded nightime sky. Show starts promptly at 7:30pm.
- Evening Snack: A light snack will be provided at 8:30 p.m. in the cafe.
- Lights Out: We’ll say nighty-night to the dinosaurs and shut off the lights at 10:15 p.m. Lights will come back on at 6:30 a.m.
- Breakfast: Wake up to a light breakfast served in the cafe from 7-8 a.m.
- Morning IMAX and Departure: Catch an IMAX film before heading out for the day. Show begins at 8:15 a.m. This event officially ends at 9 a.m. when the IMAX film ends.
What Should I Bring?
Slumber Supplies: Sleeping bag and pillow (no air mattresses or tents, please) and minimum toiletries. We encourage wearing clothes that you can sleep in to the event.
Additional Information:
- Dinner is not provided. An evening snack is provided as well as breakfast. We encourage eating dinner before arrival, but you can bring your own food, visit a local restaurant, or place an order for delivery. Please note that if you choose to leave the building after check-in, you must return by 9 p.m.
- Any adult over the age of 18 will be required to sign a waiver.
- There is very limited outlet access. Please bring your phone fully charged.
