Teacher Preview Day

Teachers, we want to be your go-to resource for all things STEM. Explore everything that the Maryland Science Center has to offer on Friday, October 16 for our Teacher Preview Day.

Connect with our staff and learn about how the Science Center can support you this school year through our field trip offerings and outreach programs. Here’s what you can expect: 

• Explore all three levels of engaging hands-on exhibits—including our new space exhibit and expanded Kids Room experience
• Catch a live science show on the all new Demo Stage and preview our assembly programs in the MSC Theater
• Head to Make, presented by the Kahlert Foundation, to see what our new makerspace is all about and try out some school-group-friendly activities
• Blast off on an out-of-this world adventure in the Meyerhoff Digital Planetarium—we’ll be showing our programs for school groups all day long 
• Pop into the SciLab for five different tabletop experiments and learn about booking the room for your school’s exclusive use
• Visit the SciZones for a sampling of our classroom-based enrichment experiences for field trips and outreach 
• Don’t miss the Brown Bag Zone—explore select Family Science Night and Family Engineering Night activities for the 2026-2027 school year

This event is free for Maryland teachers, but registration is encouraged. Each registered teacher may also bring one guest for free. Additional tickets may be purchased for $15 each.
