The Voting Rights Act: What's at Stake

Home Events The Voting Rights Act: What’s at Stake

Join us as Professor Gilda Daniels offers an overview of the historical importance of the Voting Rights Act, and how Supreme Court decisions– particularly a recent one, Louisiana v. Callais– have gutted it over time. She will address how the loss of protections is projected to detrimentally affect the political power of racial minorities– among other things– if we don’t act.

Presentation to be followed by an opportunity for the audience to ask questions.
