True Bohemians Expands to Baltimore with Artist Drury Bynum – Open House on April 11

Baltimore, MD – True Bohemians Art School, renowned for offering European-style classical art instruction in rural Maryland, is expanding its reach to Baltimore City. To celebrate the launch of its new urban location, artist Drury Bynum will host a public Open House on Friday, April 11 from 4–8 PM at his studio in the Parkdale Studio Building, 3500 Parkdale Ave, Suite 132, Baltimore, MD 21211. The event is free and open to the public, with ample parking available.

This open house marks the debut of True Bohemians Baltimore and will offer attendees a first glimpse at the new studio space, current works-in-progress by Bynum, and early registration opportunities for a dynamic slate of upcoming workshops.

Since 2020, True Bohemians has been a sought-after destination for artists at all levels, from inspired beginners to seasoned professionals. Founded by Ekaterina “Katya” Levental and Elena Vialova, the school is located in the rolling hills of rural Maryland and has built its reputation on making the Classical Academic tradition accessible to students in the United States.

Katya Levental, who will also be teaching in Baltimore, is an internationally celebrated artist and honors graduate of the prestigious Surikov Institute. Her award-winning career spans museum-held still lifes, monumental decorative works, and theatrical design, with pieces featured in cities like New York, Palm Beach, Moscow, and Paris. Her teaching combines rigorous technique with creative inspiration, offering Baltimore students a rare opportunity to study with a world-class talent.

“This expansion brings together the expressive energy of Baltimore with the timeless rigor of European training,” says Bynum. “I’m honored to be part of this movement and can’t wait to welcome artists into this new space.”

All classes will be held at the new Baltimore location, led by Bynum and Levental. These offerings reflect True Bohemians’ commitment to deeply customized instruction for artists of all backgrounds and skill levels.

ABOUT DRURY BYNUM:
Drury Bynum is a Baltimore-based mixed-media artist known for his vibrant, collage-driven works that blend traditional media with AI-generated imagery. A graduate of MICA and Bowling Green University, Bynum’s recent solo exhibitions and experimental process have garnered regional acclaim. With over 5 years of academic teaching experience, he brings both technical precision and irreverent curiosity to his teaching.
