Uh Huh Her + Making a Video Installation

Uh Huh Her + Making a Video Installation
with Dina Fiasconaro

Installation: 1–5 p.m. | How-To Session: 3 p.m.

Experience Uh Huh Her, a four-channel video installation by Baltimore filmmaker and multimedia artist Dina Fiasconaro exploring privacy, control, recovery, and what happens when one moment becomes the whole story.

At 3 p.m., go behind the work with Fiasconaro for Making a Video Installation, a how-to session for filmmakers and artists interested in creating work beyond a single screen.

Drawing from Uh Huh Her and There Is No One What Will Take Care of You, the three-channel work featured in the inaugural CineTech, Fiasconaro will break down how she develops a video installation—from shaping a story across multiple screens and planning what appears where, to working with sound, physical space, and the practical considerations of installing the finished work. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how to begin translating their own ideas into a video installation.

Whether you’re a filmmaker curious about installation, an artist interested in moving-image work, or simply want to experience a story told differently, drop in throughout the afternoon. Uh Huh Her will run continuously from 1–5 p.m., including before and after the 3 p.m. how-to session.
