No experience needed. Imagine sitting around a firepit with friends sharing stories that turn into songs. You can play your ukulele, sing along, stomp, clap, oo and ahh, harmonize, or just watch and enjoy the music.
What is Musical Improv?
Musical improv is like a game where you and your friends make up songs right on the spot. You don’t need any prepared lyrics or music; instead, you create them as you go. It’s a mix of acting and singing, where everyone collaborates to create fun and surprising songs that fit the moment.
It might sound tricky, but with the right mindset, simple guidelines, and a bit of practice, it’s easier than it looks. Think of it like creating a first draft—using patterns like adding a chorus and taking turns helps you shape your spontaneous songs.
