Walking the Wire: Improv at The Highwire Center!

Saturday nights at Highwire are full of hilarious characters born straight from your suggestions.

Doors open 30 minutes before showtime . Come early and enjoy the atmosphere.

Tonight’s lineup is:

Scrapple — There is only one rule when it comes to a Scrapple show — Let’s Get Weird. This group of friends do their best to many different styles, things always ends up devolving into mayhem — and they wouldn’t have it any other way. Brace yourself for fun, weirdness, chaos and sometimes with a little bit of classic improv.

Human Magnet — They start with a made-up story that inspires a series of increasingly fun, silly, & connected scenes.

What is an improv show, exactly?

Improv is live theater created spontaneously by the performers with the inspiration of the audience. Unless noted otherwise, it’s a comedy show, made even more exciting, intriguing, and hilarious by the fact that none of it is pre-scripted! At an improv show you’ll see a wide range of creative and fascinating humans perform a highwire act by making comedy out of thin air! It can take many forms, including short competitive games, slice of life scenes, and full length sitcom or movie style performances!

A Highwire Improv show is truly a once in a lifetime performance, never done before and never to be done again!

About the Venue:

The Highwire Center is Highwire Improv’s home base in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore! Part of Highlandtown Main Street and the Highlandtown Arts District, The Highwire Center is home to classes, free workshops, shows, community events, corporate training, and more! The Highwire Center is accessible, with ramp access available, an ADA restroom, and flat transit throughout the space.
