Admissions And More Information

Admission to the aquarium is timed, so you will need to choose your date and time before you purchase a ticket. Admission includes all-day access to exhibits and daily presentations. If your schedule allows, visit on a weekday, when the aquarium is quieter. On weekends and holidays, try to time your visit before 11 a.m. or after 3 p.m.

The aquarium has two official parking garages nearby—Parkway Lockwood Place and LAZ Inner Harbor Garage. Validate your parking ticket at the aquarium for discounted rates.

What It's Like

Experience the aquarium behind the glass, through interactive animal encounters and expert talks, 4D immersion films and more. Check the aquarium’s calendar for special tours and experiences throughout the week and year. Critter Chats bring you up close and personal with smaller animals like the tiger salamander, moon jelly or spring peeper outside their habitats. The aquarium offers two eateries for lunch, or you can get your hand stamped for re-entry and visit a nearby restaurant.

Popular stops include the award-winning Blacktip Reef, an Indo-Pacific exhibit that features blacktip reef sharks, whiptail rays, zebra sharks and lots of other colorful characters. With nine different varieties of jellyfish, the Jellies Invasion exhibit is truly stunning, and the 225,000 gallon, ring-shaped Shark Alley exhibit will put you nose to nose with the world’s most incredible toothy species. Visit the underwater viewing area of Dolphin Discovery and learn about the incredible intelligence of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins.
