Science gets super fun at the Maryland Science Center, an interactive and educational destination featuring three levels of exhibits exploring subjects such as astronomy, paleontology, the human body and physics. Located in the Inner Harbor, the center also features live demonstrations, the Davis Planetarium, an IMAX theater, and a rooftop observatory where you can explore the night sky. Whether you’re a kid or an adult, the science center is sure to spark your curiosity and teach you something you never knew.

Admissions And More Information

General admission includes access to the exhibit halls, planetarium, and the demonstration stage. You may exit and re-enter the building during your visit, as long as you’re wearing your wristband. Strollers are allowed and there’s also a café if your crew gets hungry. Parking is validated at three nearby garages. Check the website for locations.

What It's Like

Walk through a landscape filled with over a dozen full-size dinosaurs in the center’s Dinosaur Mysteries exhibit; splish splash in the Kids Room, a space dedicated to young children and water play; explore the solar system; and walk in Newton’s Alley, a highly interactive zone showcasing Isaac Newton’s discoveries. Cruise the cosmos and adventure through solar superstorms in the entertaining and comfortable planetarium.

Have a seat and rest your feet at the IMAX theater which features a mix of films on animals, nature, and 3D explorations of space, extreme weather, and butterflies. Looking for some grownup time?
