BARCStoberfest is an annual, large scale, pet-friendly festival and fundraiser that benefits the lifesaving programs and animal care at the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS). The Patterson Park festival includes a 5K Run/1-Mile Walk, Pet Costume Contest, Beer Garden vendors, kids’ activities and more! Fundraising leading up to BARCStoberfest raises critical funding for Maryland’s highest volume, open-admission shelter serving 10,000 animals per year. Our goal this year is $350,000, so please join us to raise funds for animals in need in our community.

Event Schedule

7:30AM: Registration/check-in opens for the 5K run and 1-mile walk

9:00AM: 5K run and 1-mile walk begins

9:30AM – 2:00PM: Festival open (food trucks, shopping market, kids’ tent, adoptable pets, raffles, trick-or-treating and more)

10:00AM: 5K awards @ main stage

10:00AM – 3:00PM: Beer garden opens (beer, wine and other spirits, lawn games and live music)

11:00AM: Downward Dog Yoga

12:00PM: Howl-O-Ween pet costume contests at the main stage

1:00PM: Raffle basket winners announced (winners must be present)

2:00PM: Festival concludes

2:30PM: Last call in the beer garden
