3rd Annual Leaders in Black Maternal Health Awards Luncheon

Home Events 3rd Annual Leaders in Black Maternal Health Awards Luncheon

Baltimore Healthy Start is partnering with the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture to co-host our Second Annual Leaders In Black Maternal Health Awards Luncheon — a fundraiser celebrated each year during Black Maternal Health Week to raise funds towards programs/services that shape positive birthing experiences for women who live in Baltimore City, and to increase awareness on Black maternal mortality/morbidity.

Each year, we commemorate five exceptional leaders who have achieved ground-breaking work in the maternal health space. This year’s honorees include: Adeline Azrack (Leadership Award), Delegate Jocelyn Pena- Melnyk (Advocacy Award), Dr. Arthur James (Champion Award), Dr. Diane Rowley (Visionary Award), and Pamika Lee (Lillian Armstrong Service Award).

We will be joined by Maternal Health Advocate/Activist, Latham Thomas as our Keynote Speaker!

Former Communications Director to Vice President Kamala Harris, Ashley Etienne will be our “Mistress of Ceremonies.”

Join us for an afternoon of excellence on Tuesday, April 11, 2025 from 11AM to 2PM at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum located at 830 E. Pratt St. Baltimore, MD 21202. Tickets $85 per person or purchase a table of 8 for only $640. We hope to see you there!
