Baltimore Choral Arts presents American Belonging
Presenting iconic American choral repertoire inspired by our nation’s ideals, this concert explores what it truly means to “belong” in America. We will feature beloved classics, such as Frostiana by Randall Thompson, and new favorites by composers, both immigrant and natural-born, including Saunder Choi, Rich Campbell, and Caroline Shaw. Author Judith Krummeck guides our listeners through this journey through the lens of her book Old New Worlds, in which she explores her own immigration story from South Africa to the United States.
