Bird In Hand After Hours: A Performance By Judith Krummeck & Molly Aronson

he Ivy Bookshop presents the latest edition of After Hours at Bird in Hand, cellist Molly Aronson and author-broadcaster Judith Krummeck will share a seasonal program with a difference, as they pair the music of Bach and familiar carols with the words of Maya Angelou, e.e. cummings, Mary Oliver, and others.

Join us for drinks, snacks, book and gift browsing, and mingling with friends from 5-8 p.m. The performance will begin at 6 p.m.

Judith Krummeck is an author and broadcaster living in Baltimore. She is the evening drive time host for the classical music station WBJC and the author of two books: Beyond the Baobab is a memoir in essays about her immigrant experience, and her biographical memoir, Old New Worlds, intertwines her immigrant story with that of her great-great grandmother. Her debut novel, The Deceived Ones, is forthcoming in spring 2024.

A cellist known for her “solidity and verve” (San Francisco Classical Voice), Molly Aronson enjoys a varied career as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician, and educator. She has performed across the U.S. and internationally with highlight engagements including performances at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, the Embassy Series (Washington, DC), Chamber Players International (New York), the Luzerne Festival Series, Chateau Festival in Paris and Berlin, among many others.
