Clare McHugh is the author of two historical novels about the family of Queen Victoria, A Most English Princess and now The Romanov Brides. Before turning to fiction, Clare worked as a newspaper reporter and a magazine editor. She holds a BA in European history from Harvard College. She currently lives, and researches future books, in London.
Dr. Kim Riley has taught history for over thirty years in programs at Johns Hopkins University, Loyola College and the Bryn Mawr School for Girls where she also served as department chair. Kim holds a Ph. D. in European history from Johns Hopkins University and a master’s degree in the liberal arts from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland. A lover of historical fiction, and a fan of Ms. McHugh’s work, she is currently working on a murder mystery with a Baltimore history theme.
