Community Day: Easterwood

Community Day is where the work meets the block. Designed as a full-scale block party in a priority engagement neighborhood, this day centers the voices and energy of Baltimore’s residents, especially its young people. Youth-led programming and performances take center stage alongside art, storytelling, crafts, games, and food that make this a true community celebration. Local vendors, resource activators, faith congregations, and community partners show up in force, while OECR board members and commissioners engage directly with residents in the spaces where they live. Community Day isn’t just an event; it’s a demonstration of what civic investment looks like when it’s done right.
