Celebrating Baltimore’s Architectural Treasures and Birthplace of Its Historic Preservation Movement – Mount Vernon District to Host Maryland House & Garden Pilgrimage on Saturday, April 25, 2026
The Maryland House & Garden Pilgrimage (MHGP) is proud to announce that the Mount Vernon neighborhood of Baltimore City will be the first of seven tour sites in 2026. The MHGP, a tradition since 1930, is dedicated to the preservation of Maryland’s cultural and historically significant properties and landscapes. The tours offer a rare opportunity to explore exceptional interiors, celebrate Maryland’s rich architectural heritage, and experience our diverse cultural vibrancy.
On Saturday, April 25, 2026 (10:00 am – 5:00 pm), ticketed Mount Vernon MHGP guests will enjoy a glimpse into the grand parlors, ornate staircases, and exquisite craftsmanship of the Gilded Age. This self-guided, rain or shine experience will feature the following private homes and landmarks:

Proceeds from the Mount Vernon MHGP tour will support the restoration and activation of the Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church.
