Oktoberfest at Guinness Open Gate Brewery
The Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore County is hosting its second annual Oktoberfest celebration. Authentic to the historic German festivities, the celebration will begin in September during back-to-back weekends from Friday, September 25 through 27 and October 2 through 4.
The brewing team will tap two Oktoberfest-themed beers to share with visitors, which were among the top sellers of more than 100 beer recipes created last year. Festbier is a modern take on a traditional German Festival Beer, returning on draft and as a special small-batched can release. Packed with malty flavors and paired with noble hops for a clean finish, the 5.5% ABV beer pairs with salty Oktoberfest classics like Bratwurst, roasted nuts and sharp cheddars. Dunkel Lager will return as a draft only release, made with all German malts and hops at a 5% ABV. The light caramel nuttiness and dry finish pairs with deep spicy and sweet seasonal dishes such as pumpernickel and pastrami. Both beers are available exclusively at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery on tap and in cans for purchase on-site or curbside pickup.
