Vital Perspectives On Healthcare And Science Series: Ft. Risa Cromer With Carole McCann And Carolyn Sufrin

Formerly the Future of Healthcare Series, Vital Perspectives on Healthcare and Science engages with some of the most pressing public health issues of our time, in a regular public forum catalyzed by a book. This November event will feature Dr. Risa Cromer, author of Conceiving Christian America: Embryo Adoption and Reproductive Politics.

Join The Ivy Bookshop for an evening of scholarship made accessible, opening conversation around this book — the first book on embryo adoption tracing how this powerful social movement draws on white saviorist tropes in their aims to reconceive personhood, with drastic consequences for reproductive rights and justice.

We’re thrilled that Carole McCann and Carolyn Sufrin will join Risa Cromer in conversation.

This event will take place at Bird in Hand Coffee and Books, located at 11 E. 33rd St on 11/8 at 6 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
