WTMD's First Thursday Festival

The region’s biggest free outdoor concert series returns!

Don’t miss July’s First Thursday Festival on Thursday, July 6th in scenic Canton Waterfront Park.

We’re thrilled to welcome Midwestern songwriter, singer, producer, and guitarist Jason Singer who performs under the musical moniker Michigander. This rising indie star has garnered millions of streams on Spotify and just released his 4th EP, “It Will Never Been the Same,” which features a collaboration with Manchester Orchestra, played at SXSW, and is embarking on his first U.S. Tour. You can also catch Michigander at the Oceans Calling Music Festival in Ocean City, MD on September 29th.
Brighton, England’s the Heavy Heavy will also be taking the stage.

Their blend of psychedelic rock, blues rock, sunshine pop—along with their catchy melodies and soaring harmonies—have quickly made them into a WTMD favorite. The band’s debut, “Life and Life Only” has helped establish The Heavy Heavy as one of the most exciting new bands in the UK rock scene.
To add a little local flavor, Micah E. Wood will kick off the festivities. Baltimore bred producer, photographer, and recording artist Micah E. Wood will kick off the festivities with their unique blend of pop, soul, and indie rock.

WTMD’s First Thursday Festivals are a chance for you to hang with friends, discover new music, enjoy local food and drink, and support over 70 Maryland-based vendors.
Be sure to check out the Made In Baltimore Makers Village—featuring handcrafted goods from over 25 local artisans, makers, and manufacturers.

The music starts at 5:30 PM and admission is FREE. No outside alcohol, no coolers, and no glass containers will be permitted. First Thursday Festivals will take place rain or shine.
