Run wild at the OFFICIAL Maryland Zoo race! Lace up your running shoes and join us for Zoo Zoom on Sunday, November 15! This year’s race features an exciting new species-centered experience, where every participant joins a team and races to help their species cross the finish line first.

Once joining a team, you’ll receive a fun, animal-inspired race shirt, enjoy Zoo admission, and become part of a community coming together to support wildlife conservation and the Zoo’s mission. Whether you’re racing, walking, or cheering on your team, every step helps make a difference for the animals here at the Zoo and around the world.

What to Expect (5K):
- 5K run through parts of the Zoo (pending weather, we cannot guarantee all animals will be out)
- Commemorative shirt with your chosen species team!
- All-day Zoo admission (10 AM – 4 PM)
- Post-race drinks and snacks
- That warm fuzzy feeling of supporting the Zoo!

Schedule:
- Packet Pick-Up: Friday, November 13, 12-4 p.m. at the Maryland Zoo Main Gate
- 6:30 AM: Gates open, on-site registration begins
- 8 AM: 5K Start
- 9:45 AM: Awards Ceremony including costume contest winners!
- 10 AM: Race concludes
- 10 AM – 4 PM: All-day Zoo admission
