Autumn Visions - Viola & Cello Chamber Music by Peter Dayton and Christopher Lowry

 Autumn Visions is a musical reunion for Baltimore-based composer Peter Dayton (composer/pianist) and Nashville-based composer/violist Christopher Lowry (composer/violist). With decades of friendship and musical collaboration, including Baltimore concerts in 2019 and 2023, Dayton and Lowry reunite to present a concert of their chamber music for viola and piano and cello and piano. Bringing more decades of friendship and collaboration to the table, cellist Caio Alves Diniz, Lowry’s frequent collaborator will be joining. Concert highlights will include the regional premieres of Lowry’s Brazilian-inspired “Nordestinception: Armorial Snapshots,” commissioned by Diniz, for cello and piano, Dayton’s Viola Sonata, and another reprise of Dayton’s viola “Fantasy,”, published on multiple commercial recordings including by Lowry. Local pianist Valerie Hsu and Philadelphia-based composer/pianist Jason Brauer will accompany Lowry and Diniz on piano for this program of exciting new and recent music.
