Better Business Bureau serving Greater Maryland will provide free document shredding during its 11th annual Shred Day on Saturday, April 28 at Maryland State Fairgrounds and IKEA Baltimore. Shredding is provided by Iron Mountain and runs from 8am to 11 am or until the trucks are full. A total of ten mobile trucks will be shredding on-site. Open to the public and business community, BBB Shred Day encourages participants to bring up to three kitchen-size bags or file boxes of documents for secure, on-site destruction. This event is free of charge; however, donations are appreciated.
Shred Day is an all-outdoor event and takes place rain or shine. Attendees receive identity theft prevention tips and sponsor giveaways. Drivers and passengers are invited to watch the destruction of their documents, but are encouraged to stay in their vehicles while BBB staff and volunteers assist.
