Sustaining Spirit Fundraising Event Honoring Wanda Draper

On Thursday, March 12, the Visit Baltimore Education & Training Foundation will host their Sustaining Spirit fundraising event. This year’s Sustaining Spirit will be awarded to Wanda Draper, the retired Executive Director of the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture (Lewis Museum), in honor of her bold leadership and vision in driving tourism to the City of Baltimore.

We are excited to honor Mrs. Draper as Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has declared 2020 the Year of the Woman in Maryland. 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which awarded women the right to vote.

The evening will be hosted at the Baltimore Visitor Center and will be chaired by Chef Jerry Edwards of Chefs Expressions. Funds raised at this event will underwrite the Foundation’s scholarship program.

Tickets are $100 (tax-deductible)
