Baltimore’s iconic amphitheater undergoes renovations and a name change to offer an even better concert experience
MECU Pavilion, formerly known as Pier Six Pavilion, has undergone a multimillion-dollar renovation over the past year to upgrade the facility and help it maintain its reputation as a leading outdoor venue in the heart of the city. The pavilion holds 4,000 fans and hosts approximately 25 concerts a season, including Steve Miller Band with Peter Frampton, Khalid, Barenaked Ladies, and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue this year. Updates to the facility include all new fixed seats with cupholders and a new and improved Teflon-coated fiberglass roof with an acoustic liner for better sound quality.
Outdoor concerts are a must in Baltimore when the weather gets warm. From MECU Pavilion to WTMD First Thursdays at Canton Waterfront Park and everything in between, there is no shortage of options to get your music fix. Click here for a full list of outdoor concerts by venue in Baltimore.
