Posted on February 15, 2018

In honor of Black History Month and the 200th anniversary of Frederick Douglass' birth, Visit Baltimore invites you to join us for the second annual Baltimore's Legends & Legacies Jubilee on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park Museum. This free afternoon event features the city's top cultural attractions, interactive, and family-friendly activities. Baltimore's Legends & Legacies Jubilee invites locals and visitors to celebrate the city's African American heritage and culture.

All participating attractions will present engaging activities, including exploring the Civil Rights movement in Maryland, learning about black sailors during the Civil War, "meeting" historical figures such as Ida B. Wells, Frederick Douglass and Henry "Box" Brown, and more.

A schedule of events can be found here. Can't make the event? Learn more about other Baltimore events in celebration of Black History month.
