A Tour of Harbor East

Treat yourself to a life of luxury in this chic waterfront neighborhood where you’ll find upscale hotels, high-end stores and decadent restaurants. Here’s how to make a day of your Harbor East explorations.

Harbor East is a trendy extension of its neighbor, the Inner Harbor. As a relatively new development area, this upscale neighborhood continues to grow and evolve as a destination for luxury with plenty of options for fine dining, boutique shopping and plush accommodations all within a few blocks.

Things To Do in Harbor East

Luxe, indulgent experiences and some of the best food in Baltimore await you in Harbor East, starting with Kneads Bakeshop & Cafe. It’s managed by the same family that runs the esteemed H&S Bakery just down the street, so you can begin your day with out-of-this-world artisanal bread and pastries (we highly recommend the donuts), plus hearty breakfast dishes.

Afterward, treat yourself to a massage at Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore and a shopping spree at a specialty boutique. Harbor East is a shopper’s dream, with blocks upon blocks of boutiques like Sassanova, Curiosity and South Moon Under. For history buffs, be sure to stop at Historic President Street Station, where President Abraham Lincoln once stopped to avoid an assassination attempt.

If you’re in the mood to be entertained, head to Keystone Korner for live jazz performances with your dinner or drinks or book a movie night at Harbor East Cinemas with plush recliners and cocktails in hand. For something more hands-on, swing by Five Iron Golf for a high-tech simulator session, roll into Mustang Alley’s to bowl or book one of the courts at SOS Pickleball.

In addition to Harbor East’s own attractions, take a short walk along the waterfront promenade to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. You’re also just a few blocks from Fell’s Point and Little Italy. Right next to Harbor East is an even newer neighborhood called Harbor Point, home to 9.5 acres of green space as well as several retailers and eateries.

End the day with an upscale dinner at one of Atlas Restaurant Group’s sleek Harbor East restaurants, which encompass a wide range of cuisines and atmospheres to match your evening’s vibe. Enjoy fresh seafood on the bustling waterfront promenade at Loch Bar, house-made pastas in a cozy corridor from Tagliata or drinks in a top-ranked speakeasy, The Elk Room.
