In addition to being accessible, having a compact waterfront “convention campus” and excellent facilities and hotels, Baltimore is also a vibrant cultural center, a place with a sense of history and a destination that maintains a playful spirit and flavors all its own.
Meeting professionals have many opportunities to choose from when it comes to introducing their attendees or VIP groups to authentic Baltimore experiences, and our Convention Services team can always help them plan the right off-site event for any group, be it big or small.
Perhaps nothing says “Baltimore” or “Chesapeake Bay” more than a traditional crab feast. Reserve a table, room or dockside deck at one of our many local crab houses or set up a picnic in a park and hunker down over a steaming bushel of spicy crustaceans. You can also pick a venue and have the sumptuous seafood catered. Crabs are at their most bountiful in the summer and early fall, and a traditional feast includes all of the trimmings from corn on the cob to beer. Some feasts also feature Maryland fried chicken or pit beef for non-crabbers.
