Getting Here & Getting Around
The Baltimore Running Festival spans the entire city, with runners starting and finishing at the iconic Inner Harbor. With several other events happening downtown that day, including an Usher concert and Disney on Ice, locals and visitors should expect road closures and heavy traffic. We encourage you to view the running festival website and Baltimore’s DOT for the most up-to-date information, and utilize public transportation when possible.
On race day, roadways around town and near the Inner Harbor will be closed prior to the 7:30 a.m. start of the 5K and the 8 a.m. start for the marathon & 10K start. This will be further complicated by the half-marathon start at 9:30 a.m. Light Rail will deliver riders to the festival and provides free parking where parking is available. The Light Rail system will run every 30 min. Beginning at 6:15 a.m., coming South from Hunt Valley (53 min. ride) to downtown and every 30 minutes beginning at 4:58 a.m., coming North from Glen Burnie (26 min. ride) to downtown. Runners should exit from the Convention Center or Camden Station stops for easy access to the start/fi nish and the expo.
During packet pick-up hours on Friday only, the Maryland Stadium Authority will offer free parking in Lot H & provide a free shuttle to the Harborplace from Lot H. The shuttle pickup will be located on the curbside island between Lots G & H and will drop of near the Baltimore Visitors Center. The buses will run from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday. On race day, free parking is available in stadium lots A, B, C, & H. Additional paid lots are available throughout the city.
