Flower Mart at Mount Vernon Place 2023

Celebrate the beginning of spring at the Mount Vernon Place Conservancy’s Flower Mart, Baltimore’s oldest free public festival and home to the iconic lemon stick! The springtime celebration takes place in Mount Vernon surrounding the Washington Moument with vendors lining the streets. Flower Mart was founded in 1911 by the Women’s Civic League, an organization that advocated for better living conditions throughout Baltimore, and has remained a beloved tradition ever since. The event helps promote green living by featuring sustainable vendors, many of whom grow and make their own products, hosting educational sessions and providing a beautiful, floral-filled atmosphere for Baltimoreans to get outside and enjoy the spring weather.

Flower Mart Schedule 2023

In addition to a great line up of local musicians on stages in the West and South Squares, the Conservancy has assembled 10 workshops and lectures on flower and plant themes. These workshops will take place in the Learning Pavilion and are capped at 20 attendees. Attendance is first-come, first-serve.

The National Aquarium will be hosting children and families in making native plant seed balls. Stop by the Aquarium’s booth to get nerdy with nature and learn about how you can support the health of the bay from your own backyard.
